Semester “Kick Off” !!!

Blessings Friends!

Three tremendous announcements:

1) Graduate Christian Fellowship Resumes this Thursday, Feb. 2 from 6pm-8pm.  Please note the earlier time for the sake of Baby T.  This semester begins our Bible study in Genesis (and I don’t mean the super-cool 80′s band), where it all begins.  We will be meeting every Thursday at Anna & James’ home: 55 East 9th Street, apt. 6K.  Dinner will be served.

2) SUPERBOWL SUNDAY, Feb. 5, 6pm-end of game! Are you ready for some football (and I don’t mean soccer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl)?!?  Every year Americans celebrate two sets of large men pummeling each other to move a somewhat cylinder shaped ball covered in pig skin from one part of a field to another.  This banner year, join us as we watch the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots, laugh at the latest commercials, and consume delicious snack foods.  It’s a pot-luck: please bring a snack to share.  Please RSVP if you are coming?
3) Telos ’12, InterVarsity’s annual NY&NJ graduate student and faculty retreat is upon us! Feb. 17-19 will find us enjoying Jesus, good friends, good food, and snow shoeing in the beautiful Pocono mountains.  Register before it’s sold out!  More information and registration forms can be found at www.graduatechristianfellowship.org.
Hope to see you soon!

Telos is coming! Register now!

You are warmly invited to join Graduate Christian Fellowship for our annual Winter conference, Telos 2012! Telos is Greek for “end goal”, and through this annual gathering of all graduate students from New York/New Jersey, we explore together how God is calling us to live, and what He is moving us to do as we move towards that end goal of graduation!

Telos 2012 will focus on “God’s Mission & Calling”. Through studying scripture, community fellowship, prayer, and intentional conversation, we will explore what does it look like to be called by God, what His purposes are for us, and how as graduate students we can join in that movement.  We will be led by Lindsay Olesberg, Associate Regional Director for Missions for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as well as Scripture Manager for the triennial Urbana missions conference. It’s going to be a tremendous time!

Below is the attached registration information (and family registration form if you would like to bring your spouse/children along!)
